This is it... most likely the
rarest
Tool poster of all time. This poster had an original run of 400 but before they were released to the public and sold at the concert they were pulled from the merchandise stands. Rumor has it that Adam did not approve of the final design. Only a few made it into private hands. By my calculations only about
10-12
or so have been sold on the open market. Take those numbers compared with the newest editions of Tool posters which have 500-700 pieces printed makes this one as rare as hens teeth!
What makes a poster valuable? There are 3 things.
1. Rarity (This is the number of prints made or still surviving in the public sphere for collectors.)
2. Condition. (This is how nice the poster is. Any bends, markings, holes, etc. lower the value.)
3. Visual appeal. (This is the attraction the piece brings to each person. Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. This is the only one of the three things that is subjective when determining value of a poster)
