    Description

This is a rare opportunity for someone to own an original, vintage photograph of Hollywood icon, MARILYN MONROE, owned previously by Frieda Hull, a member of the famed "Monroe 6." The Monroe 6 were a group of 6 kids who followed Marilyn around and photographed her during her time in New York in the mid-'50s and ultimately became friends with her. The photograph was acquired through Julien's Auctions, November 19, 2016, where Frieda Hull's collection was auctioned off after her passing. I've attached a screenshot showing my win from the Julien's auction and the provenance from Frieda Hull's collection.
The photo is a vintage 8X10 scene still from the 1954 film, "River of No Return" featuring Marilyn with her co-stars Rory Calhoun and Tommy Rettig. It's an original photo in excellent condition with terrific gloss and almost no visible handling wear, but the white borders have been trimmed off, making it closer to 7x9. The back has the word "Double" written in pencil in one corner. The trimming is reflected in the low starting bid. A beautiful photograph and Marilyn is at her loveliest during this period. Just my opinion.
Shipping and handling is .08 for domestic shipping and .60 for international as international packages must be sent priority to provide tracking. Additional photos ship free. If not satisfied, I offer a full refund if returned within 30 days. Return postage is the responsibility of the buyer.
Payment is expected through PayPal within 48 hours of the auction's end.
    INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS:
I am regularly asked for a cheaper way to ship internationally. Sadly, there have been too many times when unscrupulous bidders have claimed they never received their item and I can't prove I sent it without a tracking number. Unless you can provide a tracking number, eBay will always side with the buyer and issue a refund, no questions asked. They will not accept a post office receipt or the customs documentation as acceptable proof. So I end up not only losing the money, but also the item and the significant cost to ship internationally. As a result of this, I will no longer ship without a tracking number and the only way to get a tracking number is to ship priority. So my apologies for being unable to accommodate requests for a less expensive way to ship. However, if shipping ends up being less than I've charged (which it will be if you are in Canada), I will always refund the difference through PayPal.
